The story of two sisters
Two girls, Alina, 8 and Mariyka, 6 (names are changed in the interests of the children) were brought to the Center of social and psychological rehabilitation of children from the hospital in 2019.
The father of the children was dead and the mother was undergoing rehabilitation from bad habits. The emotional state of the children was very unstable; the older girl cried constantly, and the younger was hyperactive and periodically calmed the older. The children recalled past events with fear and did not want to return to their home, where they were insulted by their grandmother's roommate. They missed their mother very much, waiting for her call every day and happily talking about their life in the Center when she called. During the first 3 months of rehabilitation, the children gradually adapted, made friends with other children. Over time, they began to open up to psychologists and teachers talking about their worries, feelings and fears. Alina was enrolled at school, she really wanted to study, and Mariyka studied according to an individual program preparing for school. The Center's specialists constantly kept in touch with the mother and provided recommendations for improving parental potential.
Six months of waiting for the meeting. And today the children have a holiday - their mother came to pick them up. The children had been waiting for her very much, so from the very morning they counted the minutes when their mother would come. Therefore, this long-awaited meeting took place. The children grabbed their mother by the arms and did not let her go.
All children want to be with their parents - and it is a great happiness when parents and children are together.
